High Pressure Side Linear LED Driver Family Image Lumissil Microsystems IS32LT315x Series High Pressure Side Linear LED Drivers with Heat Split/Heat Sharing The product line is designed to meet demanding automotive lighting applications. The range includes single-channel (up to 450 mA) and three-channel (3 x 150 mA) drivers, providing designers with flexible options to power taillights, stop lights, turn lights, etc. All IS32LT315x devices can operate in a wide input range of 4.5 V to 40 V and meet the certification standard of AEC-Q100 temperature class 1 (ambient temperature - 40 ° C to+125 ° C, junction temperature up to+150 ° C).
Each driver uses an external resistor to set the constant current output, and high power applications can use an optional external shunting resistor to share heat and reduce the thermal stress of the device. Some models of the IS32LT315x series, such as IS32LT3151A/C and IS32LT3153A/B/E, provide analog current control pins, LED thermal attenuation or dual brightness control via the NTC thermistor or external FET, and single LED short circuit detection for accurate fault diagnosis. All versions include built-in open circuit/short circuit fault detection at LED string level and support the "Consequence Failure" function, i.e. share FAULT output: if any string fails, this output can disable all connected drives. Some drives of IS32LT315x meet the ISO 26262 ASIL B functional safety standard, enabling a safer thermal intelligent vehicle lighting design. IS32LT315x series adopts compact heat dissipation enhanced package (SOP-8 EP for cost optimization version and eTSOP for functional version), which provides comprehensive solution for LED lighting inside and outside the vehicle, high output current, strong fault protection and simplified thermal management in single IC.
