In the fields of electrical engineering and cable management, heat shrink tubing is an important component that provides protection, insulation, and organization for equipment wiring, suitable for various fields from consumer electronics to aerospace systems. TE Connectivity's products are outstanding in terms of quality and reliability. Whether you are an engineer developing new equipment prototypes, a technician engaged in on-site maintenance, an automotive mechanic, or a purchaser of components for large-scale production, DigiKey can provide you with a variety of heat shrink tubing, sheaths/leather covers, kits, and labels in stock, covering many high-performance key fields such as automotive, aerospace, telecommunications, energy, and industrial automation.
When ordering heat shrink tubing, you need to ensure that you obtain the correct minimum supply diameter and maximum recovery diameter. The minimum diameter of the pipe is the measured value before shrinkage occurs. From the minimum value, it can be larger, but not smaller. The maximum recovery rate is the range within which the pipe can shrink. It must be able to shrink to the listed diameter, or it can be smaller (not larger). When measuring, make sure to measure the straight line that runs through the heat shrink tubing (passing through the center of the circle), which is the diameter.
The following are the reasons why TE heat shrink tubing has become the preferred solution:
Durable and high-quality materials
Excellent wear resistance, chemical resistance, liquid resistance, and extreme temperature resistance
Capable of withstanding harsh environments
Many products have passed UL/CSA certification and comply with RoHS regulations
Comprehensive product range
Single wall and double wall (rubber lined) pipes
High shrinkage rate, suitable for irregular shapes and connectors
Flame retardant, UV resistant, and military grade options
Multiple diameters, lengths, and colors to choose from
Popular series include:
RNF-100- General purpose, flame retardant type
CGPT - Economic, Flexible Type
HFT5000- Heavy duty type suitable for demanding applications
HTAT - Double walled sleeve type with excellent sealing performance
Thermofit - heat shrink sleeve type
